AT CHOSEN THERAPEUTIC COACHING, THE WORK IS PERSONAL.

Hi!  I am Coach D. Lee.  I created this space as a former professional student, for professional students—because I understand what it feels like to carry the pressure, the expectations, and the quiet fear of not measuring up.

Years ago, I was dismissed from a prestigious graduate school program.  Not because I lacked intelligence or work ethic—but because I didn’t yet have the tools to navigate success in a high-stakes academic environment that secretly filled me with  anxiety, self-doubt, and internal pressure. 

That experience could have ended my path. Instead, it reshaped it.

I went on to rebuild, return, and ultimately work with hundreds of professional students in academic healthcare settings, helping them navigate anxiety, improve their mood, sleep better, and overcome the weight of imposter syndrome.

As a licensed psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner, I bring a deep understanding of how stress, performance, and mental patterns intersect.
However, at Chosen Therapeutic Coaching, I do not provide therapy or psychiatric services.  Here, I am your coach.

That means our work is focused on:

  • Building practical strategies
  • Strengthening your mental performance
  • Helping you move forward with clarity, confidence, and consistency

This is for the professional student who:

  • Looks high-performing on the outside
  • But feels anxious, overwhelmed, or stuck on the inside
  • Is ready to stop just “getting through” and start showing up fully 

Chosen Therapeutic Coaching exists to help you do more than survive your program, but to author its final chapters.  This work is for students who are capable, but don’t always feel like. My role is to help you believe again in you!
